A night has a rhythm.
Your brain moves through sleep stages in cycles of about 90 minutes. Protocol 9 raises your phone's processing during deep and REM sleep, and eases it back as you pass through lighter stages.
Get paid while you sleep.
AI models are degrading from synthetic data. They need authentic human entropy. Synapse-9 records the rhythms of your brain while you sleep, and your idle phone turns them into verified training data. Passively. Securely.
The internet has been scraped. Models now learn from text and images that other models wrote, and each generation keeps less of what made the original worth learning from. Researchers call this model collapse.
What a model can't generate is a human brain at rest: the irregular, unrepeatable rhythms of a sleeping mind. That's the ground truth Synapse-9 collects.

Early compute models ran warm and pinged at night, and that was enough to disturb sleep. Protocol 9 guarantees silent, zero-friction operation: no alerts, no screen.
On your nightstand, your phone reduces the night's analog signal to a 128-bit vector. That vector is an unforgeable cryptographic key used to validate enterprise AI datasets.
Like a fitness tracker for your brain: a soft fabric band you wear to bed. No wires, and your phone stays on the nightstand.
The first bands go only to accepted applicants.
Society is our world simulation, currently a research prototype: a modelled population that responds to events.
Opt in when you apply, and your training data is linked to an avatar assigned to you there. It's optional, and you can leave at any time.
Places are limited to 1,000,000 participants.
No. The band isn't a medical device. It doesn't diagnose or treat anything, and it won't warn you about a health problem.
Rates will be set before the beta starts, and you'll see them before you earn anything. No amount is guaranteed.
The signals the band records become training data for AI models, and datasets are licensed to AI developers and researchers without your name. You consent to this separately and can withdraw at any time, though we can't remove what a model has already learned. The agreement explains this in full.
No. The band records electrical signals, not the content of your thoughts or dreams. We ask about dreams in the survey to help us choose a varied group of sleepers.
Yes, at any time. Stop wearing the band, leave the program, and we'll delete data linked to you within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep.
Anyone 18 or older, where the program is offered. Some health conditions mean you should talk to a doctor first, and the survey asks about them.
The first bands are limited. The application is a short survey about your sleep, your dreams and your setup, followed by our beta agreement. It takes about three minutes, and nothing is sent until you sign.
